ESG Statement

Version 2.0 – October 2, 2025
BARP is a trade name of Yepyr B.V., statutorily established in Breda, the Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce 93769792, VAT NL866521641B01).

Introduction

BARP recognizes its environmental (Environmental), social impact (Social) and good governance (Governance) responsibilities. As a European Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) provider, we value transparency, ethical conduct and care for people and the environment.

This statement forms the foundation of our ESG policy and is evaluated annually against new laws and regulations, including the European Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).

Environmental

Our carbon footprint is limited, in part because of the way we work and the choices we make in our infrastructure:

  • Our digital infrastructure runs exclusively with EU-based providers with no parent company in third countries (i.e. not under the Cloud Act).
  • Our data centers are energy efficient and linked to renewable energy sources whenever possible.
  • We work largely remotely or hybrid, minimizing travel movements.
  • Hardware is deliberately chosen for longevity and energy efficiency; office facilities we limit to what is necessary.
  • There is a structural focus on energy-conscious use of systems and servers.
  • We also promote the use of circular and sustainable materials where possible.

Future goals:

  • Systematic evaluation of cloud infrastructure energy consumption.
  • Prefer suppliers with proven climate and sustainability policies.

Social

BARP is committed to fair, safe and inclusive collaboration:

  • We do not tolerate any form of modern slavery or human trafficking (see also our statement modern slavery).
  • Collaborations with employees, partners and freelancers are based on equal treatment, inclusiveness and mutual respect.
  • Our services and research functionalities are developed with respect for the rights and dignity of data subjects.
  • BARP's internal culture is based on trust, transparency and accountability.
  • We actively commit to diversity and inclusion goals within our workforce and partnerships.

Governance (board)

BARP has a clear structure and has active policies on integrity, compliance and responsible use of technology:

  • We have a formal code of conduct and a publicly available Privacy Policy and ai responsibility statement.
  • We comply with relevant European laws and regulations, including the AVG, the NIS2 Directive and the EU AI Act.
  • Our company operates independently, with no outside shareholders or conflicts of interest.
  • Clients and stakeholders can refer to our grievance procedure.
  • Transparency, reliability and professional documentation are core values in our services and operations.

Evaluation and follow-up

This ESG statement is reviewed annually. BARP is actively following developments in ESG reporting (including the European Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive - CSRD) and is considering broader voluntary forms of reporting over time.

We strive to improve our ESG performance and be transparent to customers and stakeholders, including through potential future external assurance or certification of our sustainability data.
